Lies of p console Pc#
With the Wiimote, Kinect, Rock Band guitar, and all the new peripherals coming out for consoles, it seems like the console games are actually more interactive than PC games these days. Every new console made in the past few years plugs into broadband so multiplayer gaming is just as accessible to consoles as it ever was to PCs. Most big ticket games are coming out primarily for consoles, and the PC edition is just a crappy afterthought with bad graphics and awkward controls. As pc's get smaller they will become more all in one anyway but i think we're a little while away before we worry about a death of a pc in its current form. PC games are superior in many ways, but there is still a market for those who just want a box for gaming and a box for internet etc. Obviously consoles try to get the headline games, and some games never make PC, but frankly theres few not on a PC that I worry about. I'm a PC gamer, and tbh though its more complex to program for and cater for different hardware configurations, it only takes a year or two before its superior than the latest console.

Given the life cycle of the console - the hardware limits are reached quite early on (within a couple years certainly) and there isn't much else you can pull out of the box graphics/sound wise. One set of hardware that doesnt change - easier to program for. I knwo so many that think PC's are dying and that its consoles that will take over for games :. When i buy a console i don't feel like it's mine and it looks like sony is heading that way more but doing this new cloud idea of there's. PC = Personalized Machine of your choosing (you choose what you want to do with it.) no restrictions. PC is designed for multi purpose but can also be used to push the boundaries of how much graphical power can be used. PC and consoles are the same thing the only difference is Consoles are designed for a set state of games. so in reality the console area is slowing gaming advancement, which in turn slows down Hardware advancement because no one is buy new hardware.

the only time you'd need a power house is when a specific PC game comes out which has enhanced graphics, physics, multi core processing and high end AA. So, while I fear what you say may have some truth to it - I hope you are wrong.Ĭonsidering most games nowadays are stupid console ports, the graphics and power usage has not increase thus computers that are 5 years old can still play the new games at the same rate and specs as the consoles. Plus, I don't care to buy a new computer every six months or whenever I want to play a new game. That's also why I do the bulk of my gaming on consoles - the computer I have at home is sufficient for most everything I use it for, but it would suck at gaming.

Good software manufacturers then can make the software behave on this one machine, and it will work on all others. One machine can be an absolute powerhouse, the next is so weak that the anti-virus consumes 3/4ths of all resources.Ĭonsoles, on the other hand, have fixed specs.
